Terms of Service
Last updated October 3, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and JreamJaeana Inc. ("Next Up," "we," "us") for using Next Up, the walk-in line service for barber shops. They apply to shop owners and barbers who create an account. By creating an account, joining a shop's team, or using Next Up, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you're at least 18 and allowed to agree for that business.
Customers who only join a line don't need an account. Their use is covered by our SMS terms and Privacy policy.
1. The service
Next Up lets customers join a shop's walk-in line from their phone, track their place, and get optional text alerts. Shops get a dashboard to run the line, a lobby screen, a QR code and share link, a public shop page and map listing, barber profiles, work photos, license badges, and optional Pay & tip. We may improve or change features over time.
2. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access.
- Shop owners are responsible for the barbers they invite and can remove them at any time. Each barber agrees to these terms when joining.
3. Plans, free trial, and automatic renewal
- Barber shop plan: a one-time sign-up fee of $260 for shops with up to 5 barbers, or $520 for shops with more than 5, then $52 per month for each barber set to cut on your shop floor (minimum 2). If your shop grows past 5 barbers after the fee is charged, the $260 difference is added once to your next bill.
- Solo barber plan: a one-time sign-up fee of $104, then $104 per month, for one barber.
- Switching from Solo to Barber shop: a one-time charge for the difference between the sign-up fees on your next bill ($156, or $416 with more than 5 barbers), and your monthly price becomes per barber.
- Free trial: new shops get a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start it. You're not charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends, you pay nothing.
- When the trial ends, your card is charged the one-time sign-up fee and your first month. Your subscription then renews automatically every month, and your card is charged each month, until you cancel.
- Barber count: on the Barber shop plan, adding or removing barbers changes your monthly amount. Our payment processor adjusts the bill for the part of the month that changed.
- Prices don't include taxes. If tax applies, we may add it.
- Price changes: your price stays the same while you're subscribed unless we give you at least 30 days' notice first (in the app or by email). You can cancel before a change takes effect.
- Referral discount: if you sign up with another Next Up shop's referral code, your one-time sign-up fee (and any later sign-up fee difference) is half price. Monthly prices aren't affected.
- Business use: plans are for barber shops and barbers running a business. By subscribing you confirm you're signing up for a business, not for personal use.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. If a payment fails, we'll try again for a while; if it still can't be collected, your line may stop taking customers online until it's resolved.
4. Canceling and refunds
- You can cancel online at any time from the Billing page in your dashboard. No phone call or email is needed.
- Canceling stops future charges. Your service keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for (or the end of your trial), then your line stops taking customers online.
- We don't give refunds for partial months, unused time, or the one-time sign-up fee once it has been charged, except where the law requires it or we decide to in a particular case.
5. Text messages
Only customers can turn on text alerts, by checking the box on your shop's join page when they get in line. You and your staff can't sign anyone up for texts; customers you add at the counter don't get them. Next Up sends only automatic messages about a customer's place in line (see the SMS terms), and every text says how to stop. You agree not to use Next Up to send marketing and not to use customer details for anything else. Carriers can delay or block texts, so they aren't guaranteed.
6. Pay & tip (optional)
- Each barber decides whether to accept payments and tips through Next Up. To do so, a barber creates their own Stripe account and accepts Stripe's terms (the Stripe Services Agreement) with Stripe when setting it up.
- Payments go to the barber's own Stripe account. Stripe charges the barber its card processing fee. Next Up's fee is 1% of the service price. Next Up never takes a cut of tips.
- Each barber is responsible for their own refunds, disputes and chargebacks, and taxes on what they earn. Next Up is not a bank and doesn't hold your money.
7. Your content
- You keep ownership of what you add: your shop name and address, photos, bios, and license details. You give us permission to store and show it so the service works (for example on your shop page, barber profiles, the map, and in search results).
- Only post photos of your own work or your shop. If a customer is in a photo, you must have their permission. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, sexual, misleading, or that you don't have the right to share.
- Contact details such as phone numbers, links, emails, and social handles are removed from names and bios. We may remove content or hide a shop from the map if it breaks these terms.
8. Licenses and verification
When we mark a license as verified, it means it matched public state records when we checked. It isn't a guarantee or an endorsement. You're responsible for holding the licenses your state requires (in California, from the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology) and for following the laws that apply to your shop.
9. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Next Up. That includes creating fake shops or tickets, flooding a line, harassing anyone, trying to get around limits or security, accessing accounts or data that aren't yours, copying or scraping the service, or using it for anything unlawful.
10. Customer information and privacy
Use customer information from Next Up only to serve those customers. How we collect, use, and delete information is described in our Privacy policy.
11. Availability and outside services
We work to keep Next Up running, but we don't promise it will always be available or error free. It relies on outside providers for hosting, data storage, texting, payments, and maps, which can have outages. Always have a backup way to run your line, like a sign-up sheet.
12. Disclaimers
Except as these terms say, Next Up is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. Wait times are estimates.
13. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or customers. Our total liability for any claim about Next Up is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
14. Your responsibility to us
If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, how you run your shop, or your breaking these terms or the law, you'll cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
15. Suspension and ending the agreement
You can stop using Next Up and cancel at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, isn't paid, or puts customers or the service at risk. When we can, we'll tell you first. After an account closes, you can ask us to delete its data, and we will, except what we must keep by law (like billing records).
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll show a notice in your dashboard asking you to agree, and you'll need to agree before starting or restarting a subscription. If you keep using Next Up after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
17. Law and disputes
California law governs these terms. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in San Diego County, California, and you and we agree to those courts. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
