Next Up is a walk-in waitlist service for barber shops. This policy covers the Next Up website and text alerts.
What we collect
- Customers joining a line: the first name you give, the service you pick, your barber preference, the times you joined and were served, and your mobile number only if you choose to get text alerts.
- Shop owners and barbers: name, email address, and a securely scrambled (hashed) password. We never store passwords in readable form.
How we use it
Only to run the line: showing your place, estimating your wait, telling the barber who's next, and sending the text alerts you asked for. The shop you joined can see your first name, your ticket, and whether you asked for texts. Shop screens show first names and ticket numbers.
Your mobile number
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to send the text alerts for your visit. We erase phone numbers from our records 30 days after your visit.
Service providers
We use Vercel to host the site, Neon to store data, and Twilio to deliver texts. They process data only to provide those services to us.
