Check-in and a live waitlist for phone stores

A new line or a phone transfer can take a while, and the next customer only wants to pay a bill. Next Up lets customers check in at the door, see their place in line, and wait wherever they want until a rep is free. It works for carrier-branded stores, authorized retailers, prepaid dealers and repair shops.

How it works

1. Customers check in at the door

They scan the QR code on your door or counter sign, type a first name, and pick what they came in for: a new line, a bill payment, an upgrade, a repair. No app to download and no account to make.

2. They wait where they like

Their phone shows their place in line and the wait, and keeps itself up to date while the page is open. If they turn on alerts, their phone gets a notification when they're next and when it's their turn (on iPhone, after adding the page to the Home Screen).

3. Reps tap Call next

Whoever is free calls the customer who's waited longest, and that customer's ticket turns red. Reps run the line from any phone, tablet or computer with a browser.

Built for a busy sales floor

A bill payment isn't a new line

Each service has its own length, so a quick payment and a long setup count differently in the wait. You choose the services and their minutes.

Nothing private on the form

Customers give a first name and what they came in for. There's no place for an account number, PIN or ID, so none of that sits on a waiting list.

When their phone is the problem

A customer whose phone is broken, dead or locked can't scan a code. Anyone signed in to your store can add them to the line from the counter, and they get a ticket number like everyone else.
Pricing

$29 a month per rep on the floor (minimum 2), or $39 a month for a one-person store. No sign-up fee. Free for 30 days with no card needed, and you can cancel anytime from your Billing page.

Questions

Does it work for carrier-branded stores, authorized retailers and prepaid stores?

Yes. Next Up works the same for carrier-branded stores, authorized retailers, prepaid dealers and phone repair shops. It's an independent walk-in line, not made by or affiliated with any wireless carrier, and it doesn't connect to your activation or point-of-sale systems.

What do customers have to give to get in line?

A first name and what they came in for. Next Up never asks for an account number, PIN, ID or anything else about their phone account.

How do customers know when it's their turn?

Their ticket shows their place in line, updates on its own while it's open, and turns red when a rep calls them. With alerts turned on, they also get a notification on their phone; on an iPhone, that works once they add the page to their Home Screen.

Can customers ask for a certain rep?

No. In a phone store the line goes to whichever rep is free next, which keeps it fair and keeps it moving.

Can we show the line on a TV?

Yes. Open your lobby board on any TV or tablet with a browser. It shows the ticket numbers being helped and up next (numbers, not names), the wait, and the QR code to join.

Do we need new equipment?

No. Print your QR sign from Settings on regular paper and run the line from the phones, tablets or computers you already have.

What does it cost?

$29 a month per rep on the floor (minimum 2), or $39 a month for a one-person store. No sign-up fee, 30 days free with no card needed, and you can cancel anytime.
