What kinds of businesses is Next Up for?
Any business where customers wait their turn. Barber shops, nail and brow salons, phone stores, tire and smog shops, and registration, shipping and notary stores each get their own words (barbers and chairs, techs and stations, reps and counters, techs and bays) and example services to start from, and it works for other walk-in businesses too.
Do customers need an app or an account?
No. They get in line from their phone's browser with a first name and what they came in for.
How do customers know it's their turn?
Their ticket shows their place in line, updates on its own while it's open, and turns red when it's their turn. They can also turn on alerts, which come as notifications on their phone; on iPhone, that works once they add the page to their Home Screen.
Does it take appointments?
No. Next Up runs your walk-in line. If you book appointments somewhere else, keep doing that and run your walk-ins here.
What does it cost?
$29 a month per staff member on the floor (minimum 2), or $39 a month if it's just you. No sign-up fee, 30 days free with no card needed, and you can cancel anytime.
Is there anything to install?
No. You run the line from the phones, tablets or computers you already have, and print your QR sign from Settings on regular paper.
