NEXTUP
Barbershop waitlist app

The waitlist app built for barbershop walk-ins

Most waitlist apps are made for restaurants or appointments. Next Up is made for the walk-in barbershop: a line customers join from their phone, a live wait they can trust, and a lobby that stays clear.

How it works

1. Customers get in line from their phone

They scan the QR code at your door, or, if you list your shop, find it on the Next Up map and get in line before they leave home. They see their place in line and the wait.

2. Your barbers tap Call next

Each barber calls the longest-waiting customer who asked for them or for anyone. The customer's ticket turns red when it's their turn, and if they turn on alerts, they get a phone notification when they're next and when it's their turn.

3. The lobby stays clear

People wait wherever they want instead of crowding the shop, and a lobby TV board shows "Now serving" and "Up next" for anyone who stays.

Made for how barbershops really run

Pick a barber, or first available

Customers can ask for their barber; everyone else goes to whoever's free first. A customer who asked for one barber never holds up the rest of the line.

Breaks don't break the wait

When a barber steps out, their customers' waits change and the rest of the line keeps moving.

Walk-ins without a smartphone

Anyone signed in to your shop can add a customer at the front desk, so nobody gets left out.

Fewer no-shows

Customers who aren't at the shop yet say how far away they are, and their ticket tells them (with a phone alert, if they turned alerts on) when it's about time to head over. If your shop is on the Next Up map, you can also only take people within a few miles of the shop.

And it brings people back

Fill your chairs on slow days

Customers can follow your shop for free phone alerts. On a slow day, tap Fill my chairs and followers hear there's no wait (or a short one) right now. Alerts only go out when a walk-in would wait 10 minutes or less, at most once a day per follower.

A rewards card with no paper

Every few visits earns a free cut or a discount, counted on the customer's phone.

Reviews and regulars

Add your Google review link and, after the cut, customers get a button to leave your shop a review. They can also save their barber so they're picked next time.
Pricing

$29 a month per barber (minimum 2), or $39 a month for a solo barber. No sign-up fee. Free for 30 days with no card needed, and you can cancel anytime from your Billing page.

Questions

Do my customers need to download an app?

Does it take appointments?

No. Next Up is for walk-ins. If you also book appointments in another app, keep using it for those and run your walk-ins on Next Up.

How is the wait worked out?

What does it cost?

$29 a month per barber (minimum 2), or $39 a month for a solo barber. No sign-up fee, 30 days free with no card needed, and you can cancel anytime.

What do I need to run it?

Any phone, tablet, or computer with a web browser. Print the QR sign for your door, and if you want, put the lobby board on any TV with a browser.
