Walk-in check-in for barber shops, with a QR code

Put away the clipboard and the sign-in sheet. Walk-ins scan a QR code at your door, check in from their own phone in a few seconds, and see exactly where they are in line.

From clipboard to QR code in a few minutes

1. Set up your shop and services

Add your barbers and services with their prices and times. Next Up starts you with common barbershop services you can edit.

2. Print your QR sign

In Settings, open your counter sign and print it: a door sign with your shop's own QR code. Customers point their camera at it to check in.

3. Run the line from any phone

The Shop floor shows everyone waiting. Barbers tap Call next, Start cut, and Finish cut, and the customer's phone keeps up.

Better than a sign-in sheet

Nobody loses their spot

The order is kept for you, so there are no arguments about who was next.

Customers know the wait

They see their place in line and an estimate before they sit down, so fewer people walk out.

"I'm here" check-in

If your shop is on the Next Up map, a customer who joined from home taps I'm here when they arrive (sharing their location), and your Shop floor shows they're in the building.

Your shop on the Next Up map

If you choose, nearby customers can find your shop and its live wait on the Next Up map.
Pricing

$29 a month per barber (minimum 2), or $39 a month for a solo barber. No sign-up fee. Free for 30 days with no card needed, and you can cancel anytime from your Billing page.

Questions

What if a customer doesn't have a smartphone?

Anyone signed in to your shop (the front desk, or a barber) can add them to the line from the shop's page, in the order they came in.

Can people check in from home?

Yes, that's the point for most shops: customers see the wait and get in line before they leave. If you'd rather only take people close by and your shop is on the Next Up map, you can limit phone check-ins to within 1 to 25 miles of the shop (customers then share their location to join).

What do customers have to give?

Their first name and the service they want. A phone number is optional. There's no account to make.

Can I show the line on a TV?

Yes. Open your lobby board on any TV or tablet with a browser. It shows who's being served and who's up next, plus the QR code to join.

Do I need new equipment?

No. Print the QR sign from your Settings on regular paper, and run the line from the phones or tablets you already have.
